How To Set Up Your Wireless Network Infrastructure
What is a Wireless Network Infrastructure? Good question. For those of us who have some knowledge of communication technology and how it works, you may at least have an idea what this is. For those of us who are not techno savvy, we have no idea what that means. Wireless network joins a wireless network to a network that is wired. This means that anyone using a wireless network must configure his or her systems the same way in order to connect. This may sound simple to some of you but I am sure there are many of us that are still confused as to what this means. For some of us, look at it as sort of a base station. Remember when some of us use CBs and some truck drivers still use to this day. Well there has to be a base station in order for the transmission to go through to others. This works in sort of the same way. Somewhere there is a base station that is wired that allows the connections. Everyone goes to certain channels to transmit. It is like a two-way radio transmission. The Wireless Network Infrastructure works in the same way.
We have all heard of routers and router boxes. Well Wireless Network Infrastructure also uses routers along with many other devices. Although, many will swear by the Wireless Network Infrastructure, there is a cost to purchasing the Access Point hardware that you must have in order to connect wirelessly. Some of the newer home computers will have built-in wireless adapters already built in the system so be sure you know what you need. Whenever you add hardware or software to your systems always, make sure you check the system requirements to make sure your system is compatible. Always be sure you are keeping your back up system in tact and up to date and it is working correctly. Make sure you have a virus program on your system and be sure it is checked regularly and runs scans regularly. Be sure it is kept up to date and always enabled. With the world of Wireless Network Infrastructure and hand held devices that we take everywhere, we go now we need to make sure our information and equipment is safe. Do not take the chance that it "won't happen to you". There are hackers, identity thieves and people who just will steal what you have so be sure to protect yourself and your information. |
